Art Education

Education and Engagement Intern. Utah Museum of Fine Arts. University of Utah. June 2015-Present.

As an intern for the Education and Engagement Department at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, I have worked in collaboration on several educational projects. These projects have included coordinating schedules and supervising a film segment for the Utah Education Network, highlighting the Backpack Family Program at the museum. I have also done a writing project, compiling information for the Docent and Volunteer Program’s online newsletter, “Art Insight”. The focus of my internship is compiling research and outreach as well as building a database of community contactsfor a project titled, “ACME Lab”; Art, Community, Museum, Engagement. This existing gallery will be transformed into an interactive space for community members, students and travelers to experience art, technology and education. This is an ongoing project that will continue to develop until the museum’s re-opening in early 2017. It will also include organizing a public forum of individuals called ACME Sessions, a gathering of professionals, students, and art appreciators who will work together to build what will become the ACME Lab.
